General information:

  • Bring any previous studies for comparison as instructed by your physician.
  • Bring your insurance card so we can file your claim for you.
  • Tell your doctor and the technologist if you are pregnant or think you might be.
  • Please telephone if you are unable to keep your appointment.
  • Dress comfortably. We recommend leaving jewelry at home if possible.
  • It is your responsibility to obtain any necessary pre-certification or authorization from your insurance company before the exam is done.

What to expect:

When you arrive, you will be asked to register with our receptionist. At this time, we will confirm your address, doctor's name, Social Security #, and insurance information. We will make a copy of your insurance card. If you provide insurance information, we will file your claim for you, and depending on your health care coverage, you may receive a bill for the charges not covered. If you do not provide insurance information, you will be asked to make arrangements for payment.

Your exam will be monitored by a technologist and you may also see the radiologist during part of your exam. You will be escorted to the exam area and your procedure will be explained to you. You may be asked to change into a gown. All of our technologists are registered by the ARRT or ARDMS for their specific modalities. The radiologist is a board certified, licensed physician with specialty training in radiology, who will interpret your exam and provide written results to your physician. A verbal report of these results is available to your physician through our dictation system, in most cases on the same day of your exam.
