A historical perspective
of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, LLC.:
- 1959 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. was founded.
- 1959 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. provided nuclear medicine to Topeka in the
Medical Arts office.
- 1961 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. purchased a cobalt therapy unit for cancer
treatment. 1977 Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. started the development
of ultrasound services.
- 1979 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. was the first major group in Topeka to make
a permanent commitment to outreach services in Northeast Kansas.
- 1985 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. was the first to provide bone density (DPX/DEXA)
testing in the Topeka area for osteoporosis.
- 1985 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. began trial investigations of teleradiology.
- 1985-87 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC., as a joint venture with Topeka hospitals,
developed the MRI Center of Kansas.
- 1993 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. purchased teleradiology equipment for use
at both Topeka hospitals and in all of the physician members’ homes
- 1997 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. began a portable X-ray and EKG service for
nursing homes and home health agencies.
- 1997 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC. purchased a new teleradiology system to connect
both Topeka hospitals and the group members’ homes with expansion to
all outreach hospitals with primary reading capabilities.
- 1997 Radiology
and Nuclear Medicine, LLC., along with six other radiology groups, founded
joined American Physician Partners, Inc. (APPM) now RadNet.
